The new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will replace the Data Protection Act, this comes into force on May 25th 2018. It is important for you as a business that holds and processes data to demonstrate that you are acting accountably.
The BID will be holding a workshop to educate, train and inform data controllers and data processors within the Streatham business community. If you hold information on staff, clients, contractors, suppliers and supply chains etc then it is imperative for you to attend along with other members of staff that also handle personal data of others, to learn about how you can avoid being of breach of the GDPR.
