The Skills and Employment team at Lambeth are thrilled to be able to invite you to our first Lambeth Inclusive Futures Event – an event targeted at assisting business owners interested in employing young people with additional needs.
Lambeth Council is leading on several new Supported Employment programmes, offering work-based learning and employment opportunities for young people with additional needs with partners including Kings College Hospital and NHS England (Project Search) and our exciting new endeavour with Dialogue Hub providing training and employment for young d/Deaf residents.
“It is an exciting time for Supported Employment in Lambeth, and we have big ambitions to create even more opportunities for our disabled and neurodiverse residents through partnerships with employers.”
Lambeth Inclusive Futures Event Details:
Date: Tuesday 19th September
Venue: Karibu Education Centre, 7 Gresham Rd, London SW9 7PH
Time: 10am – 1:30pm including lunch and networking
At the Lambeth Inclusive Futures Event, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with inspiring speakers, engage in thought-provoking discussions, and explore innovative ideas that promote inclusivity in all areas of employment. Whether you’re an advocate, a professional, or employer looking to make a positive impact, this event is for you.
Special guests include DFN Project SEARCH, The Financial Times, and interactive sessions with InSignlanguage and British Association for Supported Employment (BASE).
In return, what we would like to ask from you, our local employers, is a commitment to offer – or at least explore – how your organisation might provide Supported Employment experiences and opportunities whether that be a Supported Internship programme, Inclusive Apprenticeships, or work placements. Together, we can create a future where everyone feels valued and included.
