InStreatham's Electric Cargo Bike Scheme with match funding from Transport for London’s Healthy Streets Fund for Business.
This scheme hopes to replace local deliveries and collections currently made by cars or vans therefore reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions in Streatham.
Electric cargo bikes provide huge opportunity for businesses to operate local deliveries more efficiently, save money and boost brand image with customers.
Congested roads don’t make it easy for cars and vans to navigate traffic jams or find parking fast, in such crowded settings, cargo bikes can reach destinations sooner and make more stops per hour. They also help protect the environment and when businesses make green solutions, they’ll also be earning their customers’ trust as more and more people are making mindful, pro-environment choices in their daily lives.
The bike can carry a variety of load types: fresh food, drinks, pantry needs, flowers, household items, small or medium-sized appliances, mail etc.
Businesses can either take advantage of the training provided and make deliveries in their own time or hire with rider during specific hours.
