InStreatham Business Improvement District (BID) is delighted to present Christmas 2025 - a celebration of the magic, joy, and great community spirit that makes Streatham such a wonderful place to live.

Our festive guide is here to help you make the most of Christmas right on your doorstep. From Streatham Hill to Streatham Common, there are Christmas markets, delicious food, and unique gifts and businesses to discover on these pages. Streatham High Rd is shining bright with Christmas lights and InStreatham’s two beautiful Christmas trees - one in Streatham Hill and another on Streatham Common. Take a stroll down Streatham High Rd, discover some new businesses, rediscover old favourites, soak up the sparkle, and feel the sense of community that defines a Streatham Christmas.

This guide is a tribute to the incredible local businesses that help make Streatham such a vibrant and diverse place to be. From independent shops and national retail branches to welcoming cafés, restaurants, salons, pubs, and gyms,
our local traders work tirelessly all year round to serve our community.

A Christmas Trail for Little Explorers

There’s extra magic for Streatham’s youngest residents - children under eight can take part in our Streatham Christmas Trail from 6th December - a fun festive adventure through local shops and cafés. Look out for the eleven gingerbread shapes in the windows of participating businesses to win fantastic prizes including FREE soft play sessions at Another Planet Play, Streatham Ice and Leisure Centre, and Mowgli’s Home.

Markets Full of Magic

The celebrations begin with two special festive markets. On Saturday 6 December, the Streatham Village Christmas Market returns to St Leonard’s Church Hall, offering a wonderful mix of local makers, artisans, and delicious seasonal treats. Then, on Sunday 7 December, head up to The Rookery Christmas Market on Streatham Common and browse stalls brimming with handcrafted gifts, enjoy mulled wine and hot chocolate, and take in the festive music while raising vital funds for Streatham Common Co-Operative to help them run the award-winning Rookery Gardens.

Christmas Trail Terms and Conditions

Another Planet Play
1. The maps can be exchanged for a free play session on WEEKDAYS only until 1st Sept 2026.
2. Age limit is 0-8 yrs.
3. Does not need to be bookable in advance, the physical completed map will need to be presented at reception to gain entry as a walk in.
4. Session times WEEKDAYS: 9.30-11.15am, 11.30-1.15pm, 1.30-3.15pm, 3.30-5.15pm
5. Restrictions; Weekday play only. (for any of the above play time slots). The MAP will permit entry for ONE child, aged 0-8yrs old however 1 adult is still payable at £2.00.
6. Can write upto 200 play sessions available.
7. All children must be accompanied by an adult over 18yrs old.
8. Please note there are 2 designated play areas, one for babies under 2, and a play area for children over 2, customers are reminded to remain mindful that children above the age of 2 are not permitted within the baby area and parents are responsible for their children at all times. Mowgli's Home
Offer Availability from Monday to Friday 10:00 – 18:00
Age Limit: The soft play area is suitable for children aged 2 to 12 years.
Redemption Process & Booking: Participants can visit Mowgli's Home with their completed Gingerbread Trail map and exchange it for one free soft play session.
As we operate on a booking system, advance booking is required.
Bookings can be made by email at: contact@mowglishome.co.uk
Please reference “BID Gingerbread Trail – Free Soft Play Session” when booking.
Session Details & Pricing: Soft play sessions are normally £5 per hour, but one session will be free upon presentation of a completed Gingerbread Trail map.
Restrictions: One free session per completed map. Sessions must be booked in advance.
Streatham Ice and Leisure Centre

The soft play area at Streatham Ice and Leisure Centre is perfect for children aged 0–7. It’s a bright, welcoming space where kids can play, learn, and make friends while parents relax with a cup of coffee. Open daily from 9 am to 7 pm, with the last session bookable at 6 pm. T&C: Please note: soft play session prizes are available for the first 25 children who complete the Christmas Trail and book in person.

To claim a soft play session prize, children must present a completed Christmas Trail Map at Streatham Ice and Leisure Centre reception. One prize per person. Booking must be made in person. Claim by 31st January 2026.
